This is another one of those "Throwback Thursday" posts; a look back to the end of 2014, actually! Elise Hudson is an actress, about to receive her MFA from the Trinity Repertory Consortium at Brown University in Providence, RI. In December, she sought me out for some headshots! We had a lovely, albeit cold afternoon in Prospect Terrace Park, shooting with Maggie's wonderful assistance. I mostly used my 6D (I didn't have 5D III yet) and a combo of the 85mm f/1.8 (since replaced with the f/1.2 II but still a great lens!) and the 135mm f/2L. Elise's beautiful red hair and killer outfits were a lovely match for the cool tones of the chilly afternoon.
Despite the wind, we managed to keep that glorious mane (somewhat) under control!
Although this one is a little less useful as a "real' headshot, there's something about the color and composition that I LOVE
Elise has lots of modeling experience, so it was super easy to photograph her- she was constantly moving and posing in the best ways. Some folks get in front of the camera and just freeze, but she kept re-positioning herself and varying her stance and expression so that we walked away with a lot of wonderful variations in her photographs.
LOOK AT THAT CONTRAST BETWEEN HER HAIR AND MY FAVORITE BLUE FENCE!!!!!
Thanks for posing for me, Elise, and good luck with your "real life" after graduating! Hopefully we'll get to work together as actors sometime soon!
